About

I believe in the importance of music and drama as an educational tool. Music enhances our brains ability to retain information in a meaningful way. Not to mention the fact that it is fun! Who doesn't like to sing and dance?

Even young children like to sing and dance. Have you ever watched a toddler come to a halt when an exciting commercial comes on the TV? Children are drawn toward the catchy tunes and the bright colors depicted in them. Toddlers have very short attention spans, but by the time children are ready for school their attentions spans are generally much longer.

Fortunately, for teachers, they are still attracted by the sights and sounds that intrigued them as toddlers. That is why I believe it would be beneficial to include music and drama as part of our daily curriculum.  Children can gain many positive experiences through the arts: academic learning, music appreciation, worship, and many more.
